🌊 Embark on an extraordinary and personalized experience to one of Costa Rica’s most stunning islands. The tour begins at 9:00 a.m. from the Tambor pier, guided by a naturalist who will enrich your journey with fascinating facts about marine life, history, and nature.

On the way to Tortuga Island — a tropical gem with white sand and turquoise waters — you'll have the chance to spot seabirds, dolphins, and even whales during the season. Once on the island, enjoy a breathtaking snorkeling experience among colorful tropical fish, followed by a delicious beachside lunch. In the afternoon, relax, explore the island, or simply soak in its natural beauty. At approximately 2:40pm,you will board the boat again for the return trip. If you´ve added the Vivos Beach tour option,the guide may tell you to leave Tortuga Island around 1:30pm. Option 1: Playa Vivos & Pochote Mangrove Estuary.

Discover the beauty of Playa Vivos and the mangrove forest at the mouth of the Pochote River. This ecosystem is essential for the reproduction of fish and mollusks, while also serving as an important feeding ground for many bird species that nest in the area. It’s a perfect opportunity to learn about the ecological importance of mangroves while enjoying stunning natural scenery. To end the tour we stop at a white sand beach called playa Vivos where calm and nature combine for a great experience.

Option 2: Spider Monkey Island

Visit the famous Spider Monkey Island, where groups of these endangered primates live in their natural habitat. Observing these rare monkeys is a unique and memorable experience that connects you directly with Costa Rica’s biodiversity.

If you add more people,there is an additional cost per person.

Transportation is NOT included,if you need transportation to get to the tambor pier,please let us know,has an additional cost depending of the location.

What's to bring: Bath towel,sunglasses,sunscreen ,swimwear and cash.

-Tambor pier is located about 40 minutes by car from Santa Teresa,or Mal Pais.

-Parking is available right at the pier,where your guide will be waiting for you.

-For a private tours,you may also choose a different departure time from the usual schedule.

-The name of your guide will be provided along with your tour confirmation details.

-We include drinks such as soft drinks,beer,and water. But if you would like to bring your own,you are welcome to do so.
